Just about everything is new with the Ford Escape for this model year. You'll find an updated design, the return of a hybrid engine option, improved power, and so much more. The exterior design is focuses on sleeker lines and a more streamlined feel, without compromising on interior amenities.
Performance
You have three engine options available with the Ford Escape, with new options for this year to enjoy in Gwinn. The first is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged three-cylinder. This engine features a cylinder deactivation technology that shuts down cylinders when they are not needed to save on gas. Your other options include a turbocharged 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that brings 250 horsepower and a 2.5-liter Atkinson Cycle four-cylinder engine that pairs to a set of electric motors and a continuously variable transmission.
The Ford Escape offers you five different driving modes to tailor your drive to just your needs. You can choose between Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, and Snow & Sand. This means that you can easily choose whatever your driving needs require here in Michigan, with the touch of a button. Thanks to an overall reduction in weight of about 200 pounds, the Escape handles easily with a stable handling and responsive steering.
