BLIS With Cross-Traffic Alert

BLIS is Ford's advanced blind-spot detection system. The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) scans the surrounding areas for oncoming vehicles whose location is situated in your vehicle's natural blind spot. For example, say you're backing out of a packed parking lot and are in a Ford Fusion in between a pair of sizeable F-150 trucks. The Fusion can detect any oncoming traffic that is behind the F-150's truck bed out of your line of sight, and the Cross-Traffic Alert system kicks in to warn you of the danger.

Lane-Keeping System

Distractions have the potential to pop up, especially at the most inopportune moments. If an alluring billboard catches your eye or that detective novel you have on audiobook gets a little too good, you might accidentally start to sway out of your lane and into danger. The Lane-Keeping System is designed to prevent that by sending you alerts every time your drift too far. Plus, if you keep it up, a coffee cup icon will illuminate, telling you it's time to take a break.

Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking

The roads, as well as those who drive on them, can be unpredictable. If another motorist begins to swerve or someone ahead of you stops suddenly, your Ford vehicle can detect this and take action to help minimize the effect of a collision. The Automatic Emergency Braking system kicks in to apply the brakes if you can't do so.

Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control

The Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control system is a series of technologies that combine to create a comfortable driving experience. These technologies are Speed Sign Recognition, Stop-and-Go, and Lane Centering. Speed Sign Recognition can detect speed limits as well as the changes that occur from street to street and can adjust the vehicle's speed accordingly. Stop-and-Go kicks in if traffic comes to a complete stop while Lane Centering keeps your Ford comfortably in the middle of your lane.

Active Park Assist 2.0

Are you the kind of driver that's always hated parallel parking? That's exactly why Active Park Assist 2.0 exists. If you're driving along a busy street, late for an appointment, and the only spot left to park is one that you have to parallel park to get into, don't worry. All you have to do is let the system detect the spot, come to a complete stop, shift into Neutral, and hold down the Active Park Assist button. Your Ford vehicle does the rest, and you get where you need to go.
