The 2017 Ford Transit Van is a hulking giant. It looms imposingly over the road, with configurations that can make it as long as 22 feet from nose to tail, with a cargo area tall enough for a grown man to stand without hunching over.
For all its bulk, however, KBB.com contributor Matt Degen remarked on its nimble handling in a recent review. It was able to complete U-turns without hitting the curb, and provided good visibility thanks to its high seating position and large side windows. Available backup alarms further assist safe handling, warning anyone standing directly behind the van that it's moving.
If you have an upcoming move to plan, the Ford Transit is an excellent choice, accommodating up to 414 cubic feet of cargo. Compared to a more traditional moving truck, the Transit's easy handling makes it appealing.
It is available with three engines, the most powerful of which being the 3.5-liter EcoBoost, with 310 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.
