The Ford Focus RS is going to be the hot-hatch when it arrives in our Marquette, MI new Ford inventory this spring. It boasts capable all-wheel drive and 350 horsepower to rip up any terrain.
Of course, it's winter for about six months of the year here. Manufacturers have historically been silent on factory-certified winter tire packages. Well, not Ford, and not with this car. The Focus RS was made to dominate snowy tracks, and by golly, that's what it will do!
To find a high-performance winter tire/wheel combination to meet Ford Performance's standards, Ford engineers and technicians tested out a number of setups right here in the extreme cold of Michigan. They decided the 225/40R18 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 tire mounted to a new 18x7.5-inch wheel provided optimum ride quality and handling in our local weather conditions.
The Focus RS Winter Wheel & Tire Package will be the first original equipment manufacturer winter tire option in North America, and will cost $1,995.
